What does your typical day at Allianz Travel Singapore look like?
The team works 24/7 and deals with customers via phone and emails. We try our best to assist customers where possible. I give the team speeches once a while to keep their spirits high. Training is self-conducted, using train the trainer methodology.
What is the best part of your job?
- The best is when I interact with my staffs daily, not only focusing on work-related matters but also when it comes to their non-office matters. However, I try not to get it into it too personal as it might have other kinds of impact later on. They get the positive aura from me, which is good for the overall team and company. Making customers happy and delighting them is another thing that I try to do every day.
What tips would you give to anyone who wants to book travel insurance?
It is important to buy travel insurance as early as possible. I'd recommend to buy an annual plan so you are automatically covered for all trips during the annual travel duration subject to the terms and conditions. If you have an existing medical condition, please make sure you read the fine prints (perhaps more than once) before purchase. And please visit your local doctors first before going for a trip to get the necessary injections if you know that you are going to countries for which these are required.
What was the best holiday you have been on?
Any place with excellent seafood and clean toilets is good enough or me. Krabi which is in Thailand is a nice and quiet place to be. The people are nice and friendly too. Food is great as well. Try the local food there, the street hawker food. It tastes better than restaurant ones. Plus you save a lot too.
